Since environmental protection is an important issue at Andernach & Bleck, our descaling process uses a mix of small steel balls in order to remove the oxide skin and any remnants from prior production phases.
The main process is drawing. The descaled raw material is cold formed using a design die (drawing tool). Depending on its structure, the raw material is either pointed in order to insert the bar into the die, or it is inserted by means of hydraulic-mechanical pushing appliances.
After that, using drawing pliers, the threaded or pushed material is taken from the drawing cart. By adding lubricants, it can then be pulled through the drawing tool.
The resulting product now possesses high dimensional accuracy and an even surface.
