A&B is a platinum sponsor of GET racing Dortmund e.V.

Since April 2025, Andernach & Bleck GmbH & Co. KG from Hagen has been a platinum sponsor of the student racing team GET racing Dortmund e.V. at the Technical University of Dortmund.

GET racing consists of over 60 students from various disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, economics, and computer science. Every year, the team independently develops an electrically powered formula racing car and takes on all tasks—from design and manufacturing to electronics, aerodynamics, project management, sponsoring, and marketing.

The goal is to participate in Formula Student, an international competition in which student teams compete in dynamic and static disciplines.

The dynamic competitions include:
• Acceleration (acceleration test over a short distance)
• Skidpad (test to evaluate cornering behavior and driving stability)
• Autocross (a course for assessing maneuverability and driving dynamics)
• Endurance (long-distance race to evaluate reliability, efficiency, and durability)
• Efficiency (assessment of energy efficiency during the endurance race)

Static disciplines include:
• Engineering Design (evaluation of technical solutions and innovations on the vehicle)
• Cost & Manufacturing (economic analysis, cost control, and production planning)
• Business Plan Presentation (presentation of a fictitious business model for small-series production of the vehicle)

For the students, the project means above all gaining practical experience, applying technical skills, managing projects, and working in interdisciplinary teams.

Promoting young talent with practical relevance

Andernach & Bleck GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized company based in Hagen. It specializes in steel processing and the manufacture of high-quality products for various industrial sectors. The company sees the cooperation with GET racing as an opportunity to promote young talent in a targeted manner and at the same time to take up new ideas and impulses from the university sector.

Both sides benefit: GET racing gains access to technical expertise, financial support, and resources from industry. Andernach & Bleck, in turn, can get to know creative, committed young talent at an early stage and potentially recruit them for the company.
